The First Yugoslav Conference on Electricity Distribution, held in Zlatibor in October 1998 gathered many experts, managers and businessman in the field of electricity distribution. In the fertile professional work through papers discussions, pre-seminar, panel sessions, extensive exhibition of distribution equipment and new technologies, the main goals of the Conference have been fulfilled with following topics:
APPLICATION OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES OF ELECTRIC POWER EQUIPMENT, PROTECTION AND MANAGEMENT – INFORMATION SYSTEMS;
POWER LOSSES REDUCTION;
IMPROVEMENT OF ELECTRIC POWER QUALITY;
INTRODUCTION OF THE JUS ISO 9000 STANDARDS
PREPARATIONS FOR DEREGULATION, MARKET AND COMPETITION;
The Conference was attended by 800 experts in electricity distribution, as well as managers and businessmen from Yugoslavia. During the Conference, 159 papers have been discussed in 6 technical sessions.
Together with expert sessions, the Conference included an extensive exhibition of domestic and foregin equipment and new technologies in electricity distribution, as well as an interesting companion program. The Conference in Zlatibor established reputation of most important Yugoslav gathering in the domain of electricity distribution.

The Expert Pannel entitled TECHNICAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS IN POWER DISTRIBUTION was held during the Conference and attracted much attention.
During the Conference there was organized an extensive exhibition of equipment, services and new technologies in electricity distribution with participation of well-known national and foreign companies. The exhibition stands by more than 35 exhibitors attracted many visitors throughout the Conference, thus deserving to be called a “small fair” of the electricity distribution industry.
The sponsors and the exhibitors were given the opportunity to hold afternoon presentations of their products in the BUSINESS CLUB, introducing their companies and illustrating the latest achievements and programs in the field of electric power distribution.
Along with technical sessions at the Conference, there was a great agenda for social and touristic program too, which included official dinner for all participants.
