Countries in the region are at the similar technical level of development and practice in electricity distribution with similar problems in operation and management of distribution networks. They are at different levels of restructuring, deregulation and privatization process of electric power industries and face the similar challenges in opening of electricity markets.

The Conference should enable regional exchange of experience and practice in shared problems of technology development, reorganization and modernization of electricity distribution.
